Cable Beach Sand Patterns
The crabs on Cable Beach make these amazing sand patterns by rolling up the sand in their burrows into little balls and then pushing them out. Its a tireless job and they have to do it at least twice a day as the tide recedes.
Cable Beach in Broome is a landscape photographers dream, its always changing and no two days seem quite the same. Storms come rolling in very quickly and you could be sunbathing on the beach one minute and then sprinting up the beach the next minute to get out of the rain. Its simply an amazing place for Australian landscape photography because of its diverse moods.
It is called Cable Beach as a telegraph cable that ran from Indonesia actually landed a few kilometers North from the beach.
