Hi Everyone,

Tonight I had the distinct pleasure of catching up with Paul Pichugin.   We caught up down at Cottesloe Beach and after venturing down to the rocks south of the Cottesloe Groyne we ended up on the groyne itself.  The clouds didn’t look like they were going to play ball and there weren’t many of them.

Fortunately, they picked up and soon we had some really dramatic and colourful clouds over the beach.  Just before sunset started I managed to ping off this shot of Gage Roads and the sun’s rays washing over the ships.  I honestly didn’t think I’d pulled this one off so I’m glad its turned out so well.

What do you guys think of it?

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson

Great image Jamie, love the contrast in it! I wouldn’t mind seeing this as a panoramic as well :) Was great to catch up, we’ll have to do it more often!

Hi Paul,

Thanks very much mate. I had a blast catching up and I promise next time we’ll get there the easy way! Always up for a shoot with fellow photographers so let me know when you want to head out again.

Jamie
